For thousands of years, anointing oneself with ashes has remained an outward sign of penance. Those who wish to receive them can join the Saint Leo Community on campus and at the Abbey Church. In the morning, at Saint Jude's Chapel (located on the main campus and visible from the roundabout), you may receive ashes beginning at 9:30. Then, at noon, the monks will celebrate mass and continue to distribute ashes in the Abbey church from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. All are welcome.

July 15-20 the monks are observing a time of quiet reflection and prayer. Lauds and Vespers are in private. Mass is at noon and is open to the public. the Abbey church will remain open for the hours of 7 AM - 8 PM.

Prior Lucius, OSB is hosting an overnight retreat which is open to the public.

The Monks celebrated a solemn mass in honor of the Guardian Angels.
